These three statements capture the essence of any customer’s experience at Al’s Music. Serving the Central Minnesota music community since 1976, Al’s Music is a full line music store featuring band and orchestra instruments, guitars, amps, pianos, electric keyboards, percussion instruments, PA equipment, sheet music, and all of the accessories. Our band and orchestra rental programs for child and adult students are the most flexible programs offered in the area.

Boasting a sales and service staff with a collective 150 years of professional musical experience, Al’s Music employees have the knowledge and experience to assist all of our customers in making music. We provide a weekly service to the directors in area schools within a 75-mile radius of St. Cloud handling all of the product and service needs of the local director as well as saving unnecessary trips to the music store for the parents. Our goal is to help everyone that wants to add to their life experience the benefits and rewards of music making.

Music is Fun.
The atmosphere at Al’s Music is eclectic, upbeat, comfortable, and fun. A cheerful staff member greets any customer entering the door as if they had been invited to a party. It is not unusual to find several groups of musicians in the store at any one time chatting about their experiences, sharing stories, or discussing the local musical venues. We encourage customers to test and play any instrument that they may be interested in. Often, this turns into a jam session enjoyed by customers and staff alike. We never tire of the fun associated with learning and playing a musical instrument.

Our customers include the novice player through the professional, young children through seniors, students through teachers and directors, and all players in-between. Our goal is to make anyone’s experience with a musical instrument pleasurable and enriching. We do this by selling and renting quality instruments that meet a high standard – the professionals that repair instruments also select the product lines that we carry. We assist the new player in the selection of an instrument that will play and sound well for them. We are committed to serving the needs of the musician as they grow and change.
